Our Mission:

To bring leadership skills development to life through horsemanship.

At HJC we believe experience is the key to embodied knowledge.

We aim to make the world a better place and we believe that our medium to achieve that goal - is by sharing horsemanship and the lessons therein with you.

“…HJC provides opportunities unavailable elsewhere. It’s unique in its design and spirit. Ellen brings international experience in equine-partnered experiences to all ages while encouraging holistic growth and integrity in interactions.”
— ELLYN LYLE PHD, ASSOCIATE DEAN, YU FACULTY OF EDUCATION, CHAIR, LEADERSHIP DEPARTMENT, 2016

Taking you and your team out of your Comfort zone and Welcoming you into ours.

If you are comfortable, I’m not teaching and you’re not learning.
— Brene Brown

Corporate and individual programs at HJC take you and your team out of the the office and into an interactive equine environment where you not only learn about leadership but experience it as well.

Participants at HJC will interact in guided horsemanship activities followed by debriefing with qualified coaching staff in our purpose built facility.

Nestled overlooking the rolling landscape and beautiful water views only PEI can offer, our facility challenges typical ideas of corporate space and programming, inspiring you to engage with leadership skills in real time - through horsemanship. Architecturally designed with your needs in mind, our rural facility and programming engages you and your team with all five senses, opening you up to something unexplored.

HJC offers events open to public booking as well as private corporate and individual programs designed for your specific needs.

Equine Informed Coaching

At HJC we offer you an experience with horses which will inform our coaching dialogue.

With 30 years of equine experience across 6 continents and coaching certification from Cambridge University - Ellen will guide you through your time with the horses with both safety and personal insight at the forefront of your session. You will learn real horsemanship skills on the ground with her herd while gaining a better understanding of your own leadership styles.

After working with the horses, enjoy the HJC debrief space while you discuss what transpired, what was learned, strengths, and areas for improvement moving forward.
