Welcome to an HJC pilot sessional exploring your use of body language and the effectiveness therein.
Body language is increasingly emerging as a key "soft skill" in professional arenas. It's been determined that our use of personal space, physical gestures, posture, facial expressions, and eye contact can enhance, support, weaken, or even sabotage impact. But what exactly are we saying and why would learning about horsemanship help?
Approximately 95% of a horse's language is non-verbal, our safe interactions with them rely heavily on differentiating - what we think we are saying and what they are actually hearing, to be effective.
Join Ellen and the HJC herd to explore what horsemanship can teach us about what we say with our bodies and work on skill development on the ground with the herd, which will increase efficacy in our day to day life.
This is designed to be a relaxed and fun morning for professional people looking to better understand their own non-verbal communication styles in a safe, hands on setting. Absolutely no horse experience is required!
